I had been thinking about getting one of these for a while, but kept stopping short due to uncertainty about the size and bulk and capacity of the two. After talking with a couple of friends who have, and love, both sizes, I ordered the full-size kit bag. It arrived today, and I'm very glad to have ordered the larger size.

I tried it out with both of my likely carry guns (G17 & LCP2), and was happily surprised that both seemed to fit/draw equally well in the rear pocket. In the middle pocket I fit a Vapur water sleeve (16oz), a small CRKT folder, bic lighter, 4 chunks of innertube for fires, a AAA flashlight, a monocular, a Gerber Dime multitool, a Sharpie, 2 RXbars, and a duct-tape wrapped business card ... I could probably fit more in there, but I don't want it too bulky. In the outside pocket, I put wallet, keys, and iphone 6S.

Packed as described above, it rides very nicely, and is still quite low-profile. I don't think I could bring what I want in the snubbby and have it feel the same. I'm going to head out this afternoon for some trail-time with the dogs and see how it feels/works.

Thanks for the gear!

Jamie

Thanks for the kind words Jamie. For the majority of users the larger footprint Kit Bags are the way to go.
