Kukri

I know there are a lot of outdoorsmen here and wondered what the thought on the kukri for outdoor use was? Any experience with them? Thanks.

I tried one for a couple of trips but ditched it. It didn't do hatchet tasks well enough to be a replacement, and didn't do fixed blade knife stuff well enough either. If I was regularly cutting meat in the back country or lopping off limbs.... perhaps. But, otherwise it ended up being wasted weight.

Smbroomell beat me to it. I carried a couple of different ones during my big knife days. I finally figured out that for chopping I want an axe and for most knife chores a big knife is annoying and awkward.
