I appologize if there is an existing thread on this. So I've been looking at water purifiers and was thinking about Scott's recomended First Need XLE Elite Purifier, but wanted to shop around first. I ran across this Rapid Pure Water Purification. They have multiple setups, from a straw called Pioneer System to a gravity system. Has anyone used thier products. Are there any other purifiers I am not finding worth looking at. Great forum by the way. I appreciate all the shared knowledge.

It depends on your purpose and where are you going to camp. Unfortunately I haven't tried Rapid Pure, as I use Renovo Trio for my trips - you can screw them onto a bottle or water bag, you can set them up as a gravity system, or you can drink straight out of a water source just like a lifestraw.
From my experience, the Sawyer Mini work just fine as well and it's very affordable. It has high capacity and will filter pretty much any water born nasties on this continent (though it won't filter chemicals and heavy metals, and that's the situation when carbon filter is more helpful). However, I have had "Sawyer water" and I have had the "Trio water" and the Trio does taste better because of that carbon filter - but either one will work just fine.
