The light series may not do everything our regular packs do, but they may do everything (and more) that *you* want to do. They're built to carry normal backpacking loads in every bit as much comfort as our regular packs will carry strangely shaped and oversized loads. The qui-Ya light is built off of our smaller first version qui-Ya but adds a sewn on back pocket. It has the following features:

  • Dual full height 7075 aluminum stays
  • partial height removable HDPE framesheet
  • 500d Cordura on stress points
  • 330d Cordura elsewhere
  • 550 paracord side lacing compression on 3/4" webbing tabs
  • Dual 1" over the top straps
  • 12x9x28" main compartment secured with #10 ykk zipper and backed up by the over the top straps
  • 12x9x2" top compartment secured with #8 ykk zipper and backed up by the over the top straps
  • 11x3x16" back pocket with slot behind, secured with #8 ykk zipper and backed up by 3/4" closure strap that's long enough to secure a jacket
  • girth hitch style bungy cord straps on back for securing trekking poles and similar items
  • oversize slant cut wand pockets on each side
