We have them where I work in our PR Unit.  We really haven't gotten to use them a lot yet, but with the bit we have used them, I'm not real impressed with their performance.  We are going to be testing the Bear Tooth soon, and I hope it will do better for our applications.

El Mac:

This is a line of sight (LOS) system needing high ground and repeaters to work. It uses "group" cell phones as repeaters but as imaged on their website, needs high ground without obstruction to work properly. I checked with some sources and this isn't ready for prime time. Limited application. Not saying that it wouldn't have its uses, but I'm always wary of the "pre-order" condition.

When humans first set foot in a new continent, they came in small groups under their own power, bringing only the gear they needed. Most simply called themselves The People. Over time, those who chose the rougher freer life of the up country came to think of themselves as the Hill People.
